Wanted something more “fun” to draw, so I took the suggestion to draw the docker fish 🐟. Used blue paper, marker paper with markers, a black gel pen, a blue sparkly gel pen, and pencils for more shading! I think it turned out very friendly haha

Took a break from and a part of a larger thing I’m doing that’s starting to seem like a huge mistake to make this lil’ tree. Top of the tree is all hand-placed pixels, other portion are copy and paste.
This was so infuriating. When I do a Celtic knot I like to have one knot that runs through the whole thing, have it be geometrically correct, have line quality be perfect and minimize fill. But that wasn’t the goal.
The Phantasmabird is a masterfully adapted, albeit extremely rare, creature. Its body is slender and agile, dominated by an exceptionally long, pointed beak. Its defining feature, however, is its magnificent, almost ethereal back plumage. This is adorned with concentric, iridescent eye-like patterns that seem to shimmer in dim light, giving the creature its nickname “phantasma” (appearance).
This is a sculpture from the recently released “Aesthetiq” library. I wanted to get a good realistic render that emulates that iPhone flashlight everything-in-the-background-becomes-super-dark look.
Rendered in Blender at 4000x4800, then developed and downscaled in Affinity to 1000x1200.
Biggest learning: The jitter checkbox in Blender’s “Lens Distortion” compositor node is absolutely fucked. You either get superb quality or 2009 smartphone in the dark artifacts. No inbetween.
SamDoesArt is a YouTuber a follow and he did a basic tutorial on stylization. It blew my mind so I had to try. And you know what, he was absolutely right! I love how this turned out.

Glass and stone sculpture/paperweights/shiny baubles I like to make. I ran across an artist making them on YouTube, looked at what he charged for them, and then decided to learn to make them myself. Hope you enjoy!
Funny story. I wanted to draw a Japanese garden scene. I searched for Pagoda in my photos and learned my phone has zero clue what a pagoda is. One of the many wrong matches was a picture of a friend of mine dressed up for the Labyrinth of Jareth Ball.
Based on this photo reference, trying to warm back up my watercolor skills after a few years hiatus. I feel like this isn’t my best but I had fun and finished it anyway.
A little sketch from a trip I recently took. I’ll probably add stippling to the whole thing at some point, but who knows when that will actually happen.
